Calvary Care Early Learning Center is an outreach ministry of Calvary United Methodist Church. As such, we recognize the importance of raising children with Christian values.
We opened our preschool in 1975 and our school-age care program 1982. Both programs were founded to provide a “Safe Nurturing Christian Environment” for children of working parents. Our goal is to constantly stimulate children with wholesome and constructive activities, projects, home-work assistance, kindness and understanding. We are an equal opportunity care provider.
With the ever-changing needs of our community, we have grown and evolved to official became Calvary Care Early Learning Center in 2024. We now offer full-time, year-round childcare services with morning classes set in preschool/pre-K format, before & after school care for Governor Mifflin students, and an extraordinary summer camp for toddlers though 5th graders.
For school year enrollment:
- Toddlers must be 24 months of age on or before their first day of care.
- Preschool students must be 3 yrs. old by October 1st and fully potty trained.
- Pre-K students must be 4 yrs. old by September 1st.
- Before & After School Care students must attend GMSD and may enroll from kindergarten through 6th grade.
- Annually, parents must personally contact the Governor Mifflin SD Transportation Dept. to confirm Calvary Care as your child’s bus stop for AM and/or PM. Not doing so may result in loss of care.
For summer camp enrollment:
- Toddlers must be 24 months of age on or before their first day of care.
- Preschool students must be 3 yrs. old by June 1st and fully potty trained.
- Pre-K students must be 4 yrs. old by June 1st.
- School age summer camp is for students who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade (6th grade graduates may not attend.)
- Changes can be made to camp enrollment until May 1st. After May 1st all accounts are set, and tuition will be charged regardless of attendance.
Other Enrollment Information:
- Early registration for each new school year & upcoming summer opens on March 1st for currently enrolled families.
- New student registration opens April 1st.
- All classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- 2-day sessions are Tuesday & Thursday ONLY
- 3-day sessions are Monday, Wednesday, Friday ONLY
- If you are in need of 2- or 3-day sessions that mix these days, you will be required to register for our 4-day option where you may pick the days you wish to enroll.
- Enrollment is not complete until hard copy forms, along with all registration and deposits, are paid in full. Initial payments must be paid with CASH/CHECK or MONEY ORDERS payable to: Calvary Care.
- We use the Bright Wheel (BW) Management System. Weekly tuition payments may be set up through BW, but fees apply. See the Director for billing questions.
ALL FORMS are in fillable PDF format. All forms must have original signatures. OPTION #1: Forms may be completed online, printed, signed, and returned to Calvary Care WITH payment of fees to ensure enrollment, OR OPTION #2: You may pick up hardcopy forms to complete by hand. Please be CERTAIN that all forms are completed in full and properly signed.
